Bullous eruptions in an infant - A rare case report

چکیده
Background: Infantile vesiculobullous lesions are caused by infections, drugs, congenital and autoimmune disorders. Mastocytosis refers to over-proliferation and accumulation of tissue mast cells, encompassing a spectrum ranging from indolent cutaneous to malignant and systemic conditions. Bullous mastocytosis is a rare cutaneous form. Case characteristics: A male infant with recurring bullous lesions was confirmed to be mastocytosis on routine histopathology and special stains. Our patient was managed with antihistaminics and close monitoring with strict avoidance of triggering factors. Conclusion: Our patient responded very well to antihistaminics with complete subsidence of lesions without recurrence at 6 months follow-up. Hereby, we report this rare skin disorder encountered at our tertiary care centre. Bullous mastocytosis, though rare should be considered as one of the differentials in children with vesiculobullous lesions.

Report of a rare case of bullous mycosis fungoides
Mycosis fungicides (MF), on extremely rare occasions, can be associated with vesiculobullous eruptions. We describe a 74-year-old man with previous documented histopathologic diagnosis of poikilodermic type of MF who recently developed some flaccid acral bullae on erythemoatous MF plaque and normal skin. Histopathology and direct immunoflourscence studies revealed extensive lichenoid chan...

Lichen planus pemphigoides (LPP) is a rare autoimmune blistering disease that is characterized by the development of vesico-bullous skin lesions in patients with lichen planus. The histopathology of LPP reveals a sub_epidermal blister with linear deposition of IgG and /or C3 along the dermal_epidermal junction (DEJ) upon direct immunofluorescence (DIF). We hereunder describe a case of lichen pl...

Here, we report a rare case of bullous FDE due to ciprofloxacin followed by ofloxacin administration.
